DESIGN AND MODELING OF A SOLAR DRYER FOR PROCESSED LOCUST BEANS

ABSTRACT
The oldest and most energy-intensive way to preserve crops is drying. Fossil fuel limitations and high pricing have made employing alternative renewable energy sources more important. Using renewable energy sources like solar energy to dry agricultural products is environmentally beneficial and has little effect on the environment. Techniques and equipment for quickly drying a variety of agricultural products and meals have been made possible by the development of solar drying. Solar dryer products are of higher quality (color and flavor). Although using electricity or electrical power can produce a product of the same higher quality, doing so is expensive and out of the grasp of our rural and tribal community. Agricultural drying equipment includes solar dryers ABSTRACT
