Abstract:
Expansion-drive reservoirs are a type of unconventional hydrocarbon reservoir characterized by low permeability and significant rock deformation. In order to optimize reservoir performance and production, accurate reservoir simulation tools are essential. This abstract presents a three-dimensional numerical simulator specifically designed for expansion-drive reservoirs.

The numerical simulator utilizes advanced computational algorithms and modeling techniques to capture the complex physical processes involved in expansion-drive reservoirs. It incorporates the key factors that influence reservoir behavior, including rock deformation, fluid flow, and phase behavior. By accurately representing these phenomena, the simulator provides insights into reservoir performance and enables reservoir engineers to make informed decisions regarding production strategies.
