Abstract:
This study investigates the relationship between change management strategies and teachers’ job effectiveness in secondary schools located in the Shomolu Local Government Area of Lagos State. The effective management of change is crucial in educational institutions as it directly impacts the performance and job satisfaction of teachers. The study aims to explore the change management strategies implemented in these schools and their impact on teachers’ job effectiveness.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. The quantitative phase involves administering questionnaires to a representative sample of teachers from secondary schools in Shomolu Local Government Area. The questionnaire will assess teachers’ perceptions of change management strategies and their self-reported job effectiveness. The qualitative phase will involve conducting in-depth interviews with school administrators and selected teachers to gain insights into the specific change management strategies employed in the schools and their perceived impact.

The findings of this study will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on change management strategies and their effects on teachers’ job effectiveness. The results will provide empirical evidence on the relationship between change management and teacher performance in the context of secondary schools in Shomolu Local Government Area. The study aims to identify effective change management strategies that promote teachers’ job satisfaction, motivation, and professional growth.

The research findings will have practical implications for educational policymakers, school administrators, and teachers. The results can inform the development and implementation of effective change management policies and practices in secondary schools, leading to improved teacher job effectiveness and overall school performance. The study’s limitations include its focus on a specific geographical area and the potential for response bias in self-reported measures.

In conclusion, this study seeks to investigate the relationship between change management strategies and teachers’ job effectiveness in secondary schools in the Shomolu Local Government Area of Lagos State. By examining the perceptions and experiences of teachers and school administrators, the study aims to provide valuable insights into effective change management practices that can enhance teacher performance and contribute to the overall improvement of secondary education in the region.
