Abstract:
This abstract aims to provide a concise overview of the study that investigates the utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) among building technology education entrepreneurs for sustainable development (SD). The rapid advancement of ICT has transformed various industries, including the education and construction sectors. This study recognizes the potential of ICT in promoting sustainable development within the building technology education sector.
The objectives of this study are to assess the current level of ICT utilization among building technology education entrepreneurs, identify the barriers and challenges faced in adopting ICT, and explore the role of ICT in promoting sustainable development practices. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data from building technology education entrepreneurs.
The findings reveal the extent to which building technology education entrepreneurs utilize ICT tools and platforms, such as online learning management systems, virtual reality simulations, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and collaboration software. It examines the benefits of ICT adoption, including improved access to educational resources, enhanced communication and collaboration, and increased efficiency in project management and construction processes.
Additionally, the study identifies the barriers and challenges faced by building technology education entrepreneurs in adopting ICT. These challenges may include limited access to reliable internet connectivity, lack of technical skills and training, high implementation costs, and resistance to change. Strategies to overcome these challenges and promote ICT integration for sustainable development are explored.
The study highlights the role of ICT in promoting sustainable development within the building technology education sector. It discusses how ICT can facilitate the integration of sustainable design principles, energy-efficient technologies, and green building practices into the curriculum. Furthermore, it explores the potential of ICT in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among building technology education entrepreneurs, leading to the development of sustainable solutions and practices in the construction industry.
In conclusion, this study contributes to the understanding of the utilization of ICT among building technology education entrepreneurs for sustainable development. The findings provide insights into the current state of ICT adoption, the challenges faced, and the potential benefits of ICT integration. The study underscores the importance of embracing ICT as a catalyst for sustainable development within the building technology education sector, ultimately contributing to the advancement of the construction industry and the overall goal of achieving sustainable development
