Abstract:
This study aims to assess the various strategies of curriculum innovations and the effective dissemination of such innovations in senior secondary schools in the South-West region of Nigeria. Curriculum innovations play a crucial role in ensuring that educational systems remain relevant and responsive to the changing needs of students, society, and the workforce. However, the successful implementation and dissemination of curriculum innovations pose significant challenges in many educational contexts.

The research will adopt a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather comprehensive data. The study will be conducted in selected senior secondary schools within the South-West region of Nigeria, with a focus on understanding the strategies employed for curriculum innovations and the effectiveness of dissemination efforts.

The quantitative survey will collect data on the different curriculum innovations implemented in the schools, the strategies used for their development, and the challenges encountered during implementation. Additionally, the survey will assess teachers’ perceptions of the effectiveness of the dissemination strategies in facilitating the adoption and implementation of the innovations.

In parallel, qualitative interviews will be conducted with key stakeholders, including curriculum developers, school administrators, and teachers. These interviews will provide a deeper understanding of the contextual factors influencing curriculum innovations, the strategies employed for dissemination, and the barriers and facilitators experienced during the process.

The collected data will be analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques for the quantitative survey and thematic analysis for the qualitative interviews. The findings will shed light on the effectiveness of different strategies of curriculum innovations and identify best practices for disseminating these innovations in senior secondary schools in the South-West region of Nigeria.

The study’s outcomes are expected to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on curriculum development and dissemination, particularly in the Nigerian educational context. The findings will inform policymakers, curriculum developers, and school administrators on effective strategies for implementing and disseminating curriculum innovations, ultimately enhancing the quality of education in senior secondary schools
