Abstract:
This study examines the influence of continuing education on job performance and staff morale of non-academic staff at the University of Lagos. Continuing education refers to the ongoing learning and professional development activities undertaken by individuals after their formal education.

The purpose of this research is to investigate whether participating in continuing education programs positively affects job performance and staff morale among non-academic staff members. The study utilizes a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data from a sample of non-academic staff at the University of Lagos.

The quantitative survey measures job performance and staff morale, as well as the extent of participation in continuing education programs, while the qualitative interviews provide in-depth insights into the experiences and perceptions of the participants.

The findings of this study will contribute to the body of knowledge on the impact of continuing education on job performance and staff morale, specifically within the context of non-academic staff at a university. It is anticipated that the results will provide valuable insights for university administrators and policymakers to enhance the professional development opportunities for non-academic staff members, leading to improved job performance and staff morale.

The implications of this study extend beyond the University of Lagos, as the findings may be applicable to other educational institutions and organizations that employ non-academic staff. By highlighting the benefits of continuing education, this research aims to promote lifelong learning and professional development among non-academic staff, ultimately enhancing their contributions to the university community.
