Abstract:
The rapid advancement of technology has revolutionized the way education is delivered, and e-learning has emerged as a prominent method of instruction. This study focuses on the adoption of e-learning for upper-basic social studies academic performance in Ogbomoso, Nigeria. The objective of this research is to examine the impact of e-learning on the academic performance of upper-basic social studies students in Ogbomoso and to identify the factors influencing its adoption.
The study utilizes a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data through surveys and qualitative data through interviews and focus group discussions. A sample of upper-basic social studies students from various schools in Ogbomoso will be selected using a stratified sampling technique. The quantitative data collected will be analyzed using statistical techniques such as descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis.
The findings of this study will provide insights into the effectiveness of e-learning in improving academic performance in the field of social studies. The study will also identify the challenges and barriers to the adoption of e-learning in Ogbomoso, Nigeria, including infrastructure limitations, internet connectivity, and digital literacy.
