Abstract:
This abstract provides a concise overview of the study that focuses on staff personnel management and productivity in government-owned secondary schools in Anambra State. The aim of this study is to examine the factors influencing staff personnel management practices and their impact on productivity within the educational sector.

The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative research methods. A sample of government-owned secondary schools in Anambra State will be selected using a stratified random sampling technique. Data will be collected through structured questionnaires and semi-structured interviews administered to school administrators, teachers, and support staff.

The quantitative analysis will involve descriptive statistics and inferential statistical techniques to assess the relationships between staff personnel management practices, such as recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and motivation, and productivity indicators such as student academic performance, teacher attendance, and job satisfaction. The qualitative analysis will involve thematic analysis of interview data to gain a deeper understanding of the experiences, perceptions, and challenges faced by school personnel in relation to management practices.

The study anticipates finding that effective staff personnel management practices positively influence productivity in government-owned secondary schools. It is expected that findings from this study will contribute to the body of knowledge on human resource management in the educational sector and provide insights for policymakers, school administrators, and educators to enhance staff productivity and overall educational outcomes.
