E-BUSINESS COMPETENCIES REQUIRED BY UNIVERSITY BUSINESS EDUCATION STUDENTS FOR MANAGEMENT OF SMALL SCALE BUSINESS

ABSTRACT

This research project aims to investigate the e-business competencies required by university business education students for the management of small-scale businesses. In today’s digital era, e-business has become increasingly important for the success and growth of small-scale businesses. This study seeks to identify the e-business competencies that university business education students should possess to effectively manage small-scale businesses, explore the current level of e-business competencies among students, and propose strategies for enhancing these competencies through the educational curriculum.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, combining surveys, interviews, and case studies to gather data from university business education students. The research objectives include identifying the e-business competencies necessary for managing small-scale businesses, assessing the current level of e-business competencies among students, exploring the challenges faced in acquiring these competencies, and recommending strategies for integrating e-business into the business education curriculum.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the e-business competencies required by university business education students for the management of small-scale businesses. The research will identify the specific competencies needed, such as digital marketing, e-commerce, online branding, social media management, customer relationship management, and data analytics.
