ABSTRACT

This research project aims to explore the potential of public-private partnerships (PPPs) in improving the provision of instructional resources for junior secondary school business studies in Abia State, Nigeria. Adequate instructional resources are essential for enhancing the quality of education and promoting effective teaching and learning experiences. This study seeks to assess the current state of instructional resource provision in junior secondary school business studies, examine the feasibility and benefits of PPPs in this context, and propose recommendations for implementing successful PPP initiatives to improve resource provision.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, combining surveys, interviews, and document analysis to gather data from teachers, students, school administrators, and representatives from public and private sectors in Abia State. The research objectives include assessing the availability and adequacy of instructional resources in junior secondary school business studies, exploring the potential benefits and challenges of PPPs in resource provision, and identifying strategies for implementing successful PPP initiatives. The study will also investigate the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders involved in PPPs and gather recommendations for enhancing resource provision through collaborative efforts.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the potential of PPPs in improving instructional resource provision in junior secondary school business studies in Abia State. The research will evaluate the current state of instructional resource availability and adequacy, including textbooks, teaching aids, computer labs, and other relevant materials. It will also explore the potential benefits of PPPs, such as increased resource availability, enhanced quality, and cost-effectiveness.
