ABSTRACT

This research project aims to examine the digital transformation of small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) in Abia State during the COVID-19 pandemic era. The outbreak of the pandemic has disrupted traditional business operations and highlighted the importance of digital technologies for business continuity and resilience. It is crucial to understand the extent to which SMEs in Abia State have embraced digital transformation strategies and the impact of these strategies on their operations, survival, and future growth.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, combining surveys, interviews, and case studies to collect data from SME owners, managers, and industry experts in Abia State. The research objectives include assessing the level of digital transformation among SMEs, identifying the digital technologies and strategies adopted, and evaluating the outcomes and challenges associated with the digital transformation process.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the digital transformation of SMEs in Abia State during the COVID-19 pandemic era.
