Abstract:
This abstract highlights the challenges and harsh realities faced by Nigeria in achieving national sustainable development through educational planning and administration. Education plays a crucial role in the socio-economic development of a nation, and its effective planning and administration are vital for sustainable progress. However, Nigeria faces numerous obstacles that hinder its educational system from adequately contributing to the overall development goals of the country.

The first challenge is inadequate funding. Insufficient financial resources allocated to the educational sector impede the provision of quality infrastructure, teaching materials, and capacity building for educators. This leads to overcrowded classrooms, poorly equipped schools, and a lack of trained teachers, hampering effective learning outcomes.

Secondly, there is a significant disparity in educational opportunities across regions. In Nigeria, access to quality education is unevenly distributed, with rural areas and marginalized communities experiencing limited infrastructure and educational resources. This imbalance perpetuates a cycle of educational inequality, limiting the potential for national sustainable development.

Furthermore, the quality of education in Nigeria faces substantial deficiencies.
