Abstract:
This abstract provides a concise overview of the strategies for promoting sustainable development and quality assurance in secondary schools in Anambra State. The aim of this study is to explore effective approaches that can be implemented to ensure sustainable development and enhance the quality of education in secondary schools in the state.

In recent years, there has been an increasing recognition of the importance of sustainable development and quality assurance in the education sector. Sustainable development encompasses environmental, social, and economic dimensions, while quality assurance focuses on ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and overall school performance.

To promote sustainable development in secondary schools, the study recommends the adoption of environmentally friendly practices such as waste management, energy conservation, and the integration of environmental education into the curriculum. These practices can raise students’ awareness of environmental issues and foster a sense of responsibility towards sustainable practices.

Furthermore, the study emphasizes the need for social sustainability in secondary schools. This involves promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equity in education. Strategies such as creating a safe and supportive learning environment, implementing inclusive teaching methods, and fostering community engagement can contribute to social sustainability in schools.
