ABSTRACT

This research project aims to investigate the integration of digital skills in the business education curriculum in tertiary institutions as a means of fostering digital economy development. The study seeks to explore the current state of digital skills integration in business education, examine the challenges and opportunities associated with the integration process, evaluate the impact of digital skills integration on students’ readiness for the digital economy, and propose recommendations for enhancing the integration of digital skills in the curriculum.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, incorporating surveys, interviews, and curriculum analysis. The research objectives include assessing the current state of digital skills integration in business education, examining the challenges and opportunities in the integration process, evaluating the impact on students’ readiness for the digital economy, and proposing recommendations for enhancing the integration.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the integration of digital skills in the business education curriculum for digital economy development.
