THE LEVEL OF APPLICATION OF VIRTUAL LEARNING PEDAGOGICAL DESIGN BY BUSINESS EDUCATORS IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS IN ABIA STATE

ABSTRACT

This research project focuses on assessing the level of application of virtual learning pedagogical design by business educators in tertiary institutions in Abia State. The study aims to evaluate the extent to which business educators utilize effective pedagogical strategies in virtual learning environments, considering the increasing reliance on online education due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A quantitative research design will be employed, utilizing surveys and observations to collect data. The research objectives include assessing the current level of application of virtual learning pedagogical design by business educators, identifying the pedagogical strategies and approaches used in virtual learning, exploring the challenges faced by educators in implementing effective pedagogy in the online environment, and providing recommendations for enhancing the application of virtual learning pedagogical design in business education.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the application of virtual learning pedagogical design by business educators in Abia State. The research will assess the current level of application, including the utilization of interactive teaching methods, learner-centered approaches, formative assessments, and collaborative learning activities in the virtual learning environment. Additionally, the research will identify the pedagogical strategies and approaches employed by business educators, such as flipped classroom models, case-based learning, simulations, and multimedia resources. Furthermore, the research will explore the challenges faced by educators in implementing effective pedagogy in the online environment, including technological limitations, lack of training, student engagement, and assessment strategies.
