ABSTRACT
This research project aims to explore the strategies and practices involved in organizing and managing business teacher education and training programs in higher educational institutions in Nigeria to ensure the delivery of quality business education. Business teachers play a crucial role in equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the business field. Effective organization and management of teacher education and training programs are essential for producing competent and qualified business educators. This study seeks to examine the current strategies and practices, challenges, and opportunities in organizing and managing these programs, and propose recommendations for enhancing their effectiveness in delivering quality business education.
A mixed-methods research design will be employed, utilizing surveys, interviews, and document analysis to collect data from administrators, faculty members, students, and stakeholders involved in business teacher education and training programs in higher educational institutions in Nigeria. The research objectives include assessing the current strategies and practices in organizing and managing these programs, identifying the challenges and opportunities faced, and proposing recommendations for improving their effectiveness.
The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the organization and management of business teacher education and training programs in higher educational institutions in Nigeria. The research will assess the current strategies and practices, including curriculum design, pedagogical approaches, faculty development, and student support services. It will identify the challenges and opportunities faced by administrators and faculty members in organizing and managing these programs, such as limited resources, outdated curricula, and the need for industry relevance. Additionally, the study will propose recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of business teacher education and training programs, considering aspects such as curriculum review, pedagogical innovations, industry collaboration, and professional development opportunities.
