INFLUENCE OF AVAILABILITY OF INSTRUCTIONAL FACILITIES ON TEACHERS’ EFFECTIVENESS IN PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN ANAMBRA STATE
Abstract:
This study focuses on investigating the influence of the availability of instructional facilities on teachers’ effectiveness in public primary schools in Anambra State. Instructional facilities play a crucial role in enhancing the teaching and learning process, and their availability is often considered a vital factor in determining teachers’ effectiveness. The aim of this research is to explore the relationship between the availability of instructional facilities and teachers’ effectiveness, as perceived by primary school teachers in Anambra State.
A mixed-method research design will be employed, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. The study will involve a sample of primary school teachers selected from various public primary schools in Anambra State using a stratified random sampling technique. Data will be collected through questionnaires and interviews, allowing for a comprehensive exploration of teachers’ perspectives on the availability of instructional facilities and their impact on effectiveness.
Quantitative data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, such as correlation analysis and regression analysis, to examine the relationship between the availability of instructional facilities and teachers’ effectiveness. Qualitative data will be analyzed thematically to identify patterns and themes related to teachers’ experiences and perceptions.
The expected findings of this study will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on the importance of instructional facilities in enhancing teachers’ effectiveness. The research findings may inform educational policymakers, school administrators, and other stakeholders about the importance of providing adequate instructional facilities to improve teaching and learning outcomes in public primary schools. Furthermore, the study may provide insights into the specific areas where improvements are needed and guide future interventions aimed at enhancing teachers’ effectiveness through the provision of appropriate instructional facilities.
The limitations of the study include the potential for response bias and the generalizability of findings beyond the study context. Nonetheless, the research will provide valuable insights into the influence of instructional facilities on teachers’ effectiveness and serve as a foundation for further research in this area.
